The media is bombarding us with lies all the time, on both sides of such important events as the Israel-Lebanon conflict, the North Korean nuclear crisis, etc; So, let us toss our notions out from the media and ask: Is Islam legitimate? i.e; Is there a basis to the religion, and if there is, does it encourage terrorism?

- Because they don't do their research, I find the news to be a form of brainwashing, did you know :

- how many soldiers commit suicide
- where bombs or nuclear was dropped the Iraqis will not be able to grow crops for another 3,000 years
- according to my sources before the War in Iraq, Iraqi women had one of the highest standard of living among the Muslim world and there was absolutely no prostitution but now you can buy a woman for $30

To name a few but you will never see this on an American news station because it will make U.S. citizens think in a way that the government does not want: brainwashing

* North Korea is yet to have a free press
* Only a few countries in the Middle East have developed something half resembling a free press (notably Israel, Qatar and Jordan, but even Turkey's press isn't that free)
* The West has had a free press for centuries.

So guess who has the greatest and most reliable tradition of a free and questioning media?

i always thought islam is peaceful until i read the qu'ran a few times.

i think that true islam could be peaceful, although i am definetely sure that these terrorists can justify their actions by using the qu'ran.

so i don't think it encourages terrorism, but i don't think it discourages it either. but then again, the Bible that catholics including me use, can justify terrorism in the name of religion too, as we can see in 2 macabees chapter 12 verse 44 altho most catholic bibl'es only go to like verse 26 in chapter 12 because the authencity of the other verses can be disputed.
