Well First You need a DVD burner
then buy a DVD either a single layer ( about 4.5 GB ) or a Double Layer ( about 8.7 GB )
Then get a suitable software
Nero 7 which can be found at www.download.com is easy for beginers

try to use AVS Video Converter http://www.best-video-converter.com/avs-video-converter.html
The program is very simple.
- insall and run it
- open a file, click "To DVD"
- click "Convert Now"
- at the end of this process, the program will ask you to insert a blank dvd
- burn it
that's all
Another good thing is that AVS Video Converter supports virtually all video formats. You will not have any problems with choosing a right codec etc.

Hi!
Simple. DVD Recording hardware, such as a DVD-RW or a DVD-RAM.
And DVD recording software, such as Nero 6/7 Suite, or other DVD movie recording applications!
Good luck!

just to warn you, don't bother with getting demos of the programs, go down to a store and actually buy them.most of the demos can only burn 5 minutes onto a disk, which ruins the disk for anything else you might wanna use it for...
just to tell you, Nero is a particularly good one.
