were you brainwashed, or are you presently brainwashed? See the adaptation? How did you comprehend that what you supposedly beleive and study about God is the the actuality and what you had believed interior the previous replaced into pretend? You sound puzzled and lost. God isn't absent, he's all round. basically because he would not grant you with each thing you want or have you ever win the lottery would not advise he would not exist. finally all of us got here from something. those first 2 atoms that smashed jointly and all started the universe got here from some position. They were created through something, someone. God. each thing in life has a author, why shouldn't you?

well first off I don't tell people who warship cows that they are crazy, nor do I tell anyone else for that matter that they are "brainwashed" for their chosen religion! It's a personal choice!
For me I am a Christian, I do not push my belief's on others! I will not deny my faith, and will have a discussion, but I do not push. I have tried different things to fill that spiritual void. Nothing worked but accepting christ.
I know in my heart of hearts that he is real. I feel his spirit with in me. Christ has healed many of my wounds from the past. Now in suing your parents because of religion that's outlandish. We do the best that we can with what we know with our children right or wrong.
I have not been brainwashed, I am of sound mind and know completely without a doubt what I have gotten into, and the empty feeling has nothing to do with Christianity. We are designed to have a need for something spiritual whatever that may be. Not all are going to know Christ as their savior, but everyone will have the choice to accept or denounce. All we should do is love each other and brothers/sisters, and accept people for who they are, people.
Ahh well in a perfect world right.

My mother was an agnostic and my father an atheist so I have no call to sue them for brainwashing me. That said I believe because I chose to read the bible and it simply worked for me. If you do not feel empty then I am happy for you and wish you well on your journey through life. God, or my belief in God, has sustained me thus far and brought much joy to my life so I believe I will stay on the path I have chosen for myself.

You don't feel anything. That is the point. You are a spiritual being so you should.
Your conscience
Your subconscious
6th sensory emotions
Do you know right from wrong?
You may be happy without believing in God that is your choice, I as a "God believer", couldn't tell you how to feel. I would say that God loves you though. I would say that God yearns for your soul. I would say that he wants you to spend eternal life with him. I would tell you that all you have to do is repent and accept Jesus into your heart.
If you choose to not accept what I tell you then my conscience is clear, then I can be happy believing in what I believe and you with what you believe. I don't bash you or say you are brainwashed.
I will pray for you as well.
God Bless

That is one of the very huge misconceptions in the Christian realm. It is true, atheists can be happy. Jesus never said Christianity would be a cakewalk. Sure He gives us inner peace and sustains us, but it is not true that you are only happy if you are a Christian. That is not why you become one. You become one because you are a sinner and you need a savior. Not so you can be happy, that's the wrong reason.

My parents have nothing at all to do with my faith or my lack of faith when I was living with them. The proof of my life experience is all I need to know that I could never be happy if I didn't believe.

In your own words they are filled with hate..you live in a world of pain and anger..You feel unjustifed..I wake up and feel no guilt or remorse for how I live,,I wake up happy and alive..When I lived without God,I waitied on the moment to die, always hating everyone and everything..feel as if someone owes me something,,no body did but I owed it to myself to learn who Jesus was and that fit into my life much better than how I was living..

Yes, it's a very serious condition, they don't have a name for it yet.
I'm an atheist too, and I don't feel empty, I feel more complete.
