You have both my sympathy and my empathy. This is a very tough year for you and most of the other Freshmen. The bad news is that the workload might stay the same, get better or get worse. The good news is that you will get better at handling it.
Take a look at your daily, weekly, and monthly schedule of responsibilities and activities. Assess for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Then use your apparent intellectual abilities to form a game plan. Then execute your plan.
Your college probably has some peer counseling available to you; take advantage of it. You are not alone in this; not even close to alone. You will find a way; so just stick to your guns and give it the old college try. There's a reason for that expression!

Your only hope is to clear some of the schedule - cut out social stuff first, then sleep, then eating!! In that order!!
Well, not really. You just have to set aside a couple of good quiet hours (in the librbry is a good place) where you can get solid time to fill the requirements of your teachers. Do this daily and it will get done. IF the work is genuinely too hard, get help from the professor, or a tutor.
Someone is paying for this education. Do not let them down!

I know how you feel. I went to college, spent hardly any time studying, and ended up dropping out... I am proud to say that I will be re-attending this Spring..
BUT.. my advise is to SET ASIDE TIME.
Make a schedule at the beginning of the week.
EX: Class Schedule, Work Schedule, Sleep Schedule, etc.
The only way you are going to get anything done is by KNOWING that a certain time is when you are going to do homework, studying, etc.

You're going to have to map out a plan make a schedual, and plan accordingly. Don't put things, off, stay after and talk to the professor for help if you need to, and don't fall behind. .talk to your advisor, find a councelor. There is a lot of help at colleges, you just have to start asking questions. Good Luck.

do the best you can, and cheat because that is the way things are in 2006. laws are not enforced so why should you have to go by them.
