I'm making a card with one of my residents and shes full blooded but she has a hard time remembering her words so we can write them down on a holiday card for her family

"Happy Holiday", like in Chistmas holidays, in italian is "Buone feste".
"I wish you a happy holiday" is "ti auguro buone feste" if you are talking to one person, "vi auguro buone feste" if you are talking to more then one person.
"Merry Christmas" is "Buon Natale"
"Happy new year" is "Felice anno nuovo"
In Italy is quite common to write on Christmas cards: "Buon Natale e felice anno nuovo" or "vi (or "ti") auguro un buon Natale e felice anno nuovo".

above answer (from Siliadity) looks fine to me since all her sentences are in good Italian. However I guess you didn't mean the card was for Xmas and New Year greetings but just for
"holidays" in general.
If so in Italy we wish "buone vacanze" that's the exact translation of yr "happy holidays"

dont listin to sujestions to freetranslation.com, it sucks so do all other translating sites, unles you pay somthing like 80 bucks to have a parapgraph translated by a person, that 80 bucks is not even for a whole page.
and I wouldnt listen to any body on here, they may translate somthing sick and wrong and then you give it to the recipiant
