Only if you have a region free DVD player or the DVD you buy is multiregion. U.S. is Region 1. Europe is Region 2. Also, alot of times the DVD will only be recorded in PAL and your DVD player only plays NTSC. PAL and NTSC are video formats. In a way, they are like the difference between a Divx AVI file vs. Quicktime MOV computer movie file. You need the right software in your DVD player to read those formats.

You can check at the manufacturer's web site to see if you have a multiregion DVD player. Some people call it Region 0.
