ive been going out with my BF for bout 5 months and he has yet to make any kind of move. Ive been patient with him and hinted that i wanna get close but he never makes and kind of move. the only one he has done is when we went to the movies the other day and he put his arm around me but only bc his friends were like dude put ur arm around her. i really like him alot but in a way im getting tired of waiting. ive considered making a move but he just seems so akward and timid around me.my friends all say talk to him and tell u how u feel but im just sick and tired of my heart breaking. what should i truly do? is it just that guys are shy around girls and are scared to get close or something??

I think that you need to learn how to communicate within this relationship...both verbally and physically. Ask him what he envisions with your relationship. If he says something along the lines of long term, then you know that he is respecting your body by not making any moves that you may consider insulting. If he says something along the lines of "I don't know", then you know you have a guy who is waiting on you to make the moves on him. Communicate...that's how you find your answers. Either way, if you want him to make a move, based on his disclosure to you, you need to show him that its ok for him to take it further after five months. Show interest.

Wow, 5 months is a long time! Don't you even kiss each other? Is it that he can't show affection in public but he's ok with you in private? If that's the case, he'll probably never be any different and I don't think you should push him to be any different as it will make him feel uncomfortable with it all. Some lads are relaxed with the holding hands, kissing, hugging in front of their mates, others aren't - simple as that really.
Best thing to do is have a chat to him about it. He's not a mind reader after all! Good luck.

Well, he must like you because he's with you. At least you know he's not the kind of guy who only wants sex. I think he's shy. Your friends are right, talk to him, tell him what's on your mind. Otherwise make the move and if he doesn't give in then tell him how you feel.

He may be afraid of doing something that would make you want to leave him, especially if he is that awkward around you. Obviously, he likes you or he wouldn't be going out with you. Not all guys are sex maniacs, some really are shy and don't really know what to do, and are afraid of doing something that would make them feel stupid or awkward. If you love him, be patient and talk to him ALONE, when his friends aren't around, because you know he acts differently when he's around them.

how old r u, must be a young teen. Be glad hes not pressuring you to have sex, or is that what u want to do? or is it that u just want 2 hold hands touch, maybe kiss? it's nice that this guy is respectful, give it a little time, and by all means u could make a move just not stick your hands down his pants or something!

Guy is shy, you have to make the first move, do it, it will help him get started. If the guy doesn't like you, why would he still be with you!

your friends are right. talk to him. guys dont pick up on hints all that well. basically, telling him you want a kiss or sex is a hint. guys can be stupid when it comes to girls and you have to be patiant with some. i dated a guy like yours once and i understand where you are coming from. talk to him and let him know how you feel. i always have to talk to my boyfriend about **** because i'll hint at him if im pissed about somthing but he wont get it so i have to tell him. yea guys are weird.

It sounds like he is just inexpirenced, and shy. He is afraid to screw up a good think by pushing you away. Next time your at the movies, tell him you need to tell him a secret, when he leans in give him a big hug, suck on his earlobe, and whisper that you love him.

he is shy, scared as heck... he has no idea what too do.... , you could be his first and understand he will not do everything right.... it takes a special g/f to take his hands and show him what he must do... and let him alright that what he is about to do is healthy for you. He may not be ready also... but... if you like him... he might be convinced ;)
