That depends upon the tax rate. Multiply the price x the rate to get the tax and then add it to the price.

For example if the tax rate is 6%, multiply 499.00 x .06 to get the tax. You can also multiply it by 1.06 to get the total price.

all you do is multiply your item by 1+the tax. So if your tax is 10% you multiply 499.00 by 1.10 and you get 548.90.
