Tricky.... this little boy is a fledgling bully, using controlling behaviour. Not nice. Tell the parent in a straight forward way, from the position of someone who is in the right. A child who needs to behave like this has obviously got problems. Tell YOUR child that this other child has no right at all to behave like this, and if it continues, then he wont be THAT kids friend. Try and look at this from the outside. Who is the nicest person?

Are you really so confused about what to do? Teach your son to say 'Bite Me', tell the parents of the alleged 'friend' that they're raising a spoiled brat bully, warn them that some bigger kid is eventually going to beat the crap out of the jerk, and then find some new friends for your son!

My son goes through this too, at first I tried to butt in but then I left it up to him to figure out. The boy used to come to the house but the last time he started throwing my son's stuff around and that was that. Other than that I stay out. Since they are in school together they have to deal with each other. And besides you tell your son he's not allowed to play with that kid that's the first thing he's going to do!

let your child deal with it, have him stand up and say no, if the spoiled child does quit the game or leave than he was not much of a friend anyway

They are six. it is called "survival of the fittest" . Leave them alone. Your son will figure out how to deal with this on his own. it is a normal phase in children.
