Sure there is but, it's not as good as from scratch.

1 x Chicken, cut in pieces
1 can Cream of chicken soup
1 stalk of celery, diced
2 can Buttermilk biscuits
1 x Carrot, chopped
1 sm Onion, chopped

Boil the chicken, celery, carrot and onion in salted water until tender.
Remove chicken from broth. Cool, debone and set aside. Add can of cream of chicken soup to the broth. Stir, simmer on low heat. On a floured board, roll out each biscuit, and cut into strips. Drop biscuit strips onto soup mixture, alternating with pieces of boned chicken. Using a large spoon, push the biscuit and chicken layers into the soup mixture. Cover and simmer, 15 minutes, until mixture is thickened and dumplings are cooked.

Easy Chicken & Dumpling Soup:

This chicken and dumpling soup recipe uses 1-2 cups of leftover chicken or turkey. However, the meat can be left out because, with the rich homemade broth, the big star of the dish is the fluffy dumplings!

INGREDIENTS:
•1/2 gal. soup stock made from leftover roasted chicken or turkey
•2-3 carrots, chopped
•1 box or pkg. frozen peas
•3 C. self-rising flour
•1/3 bottle liquid butter
•3/4 C. milk, approx.
•1-2 C. leftover rotisserie chicken

PREPARATION:
Make soup stock from leftover chicken. Chop 2-3 carrots and add to the simmering broth. Let cook 10-15 minutes while you prepare dumplings. Get a box of frozen peas out. Add just before Approx. dropping the dumplings.
Use self rising flour........about 3 cups in a large bowl and put in about a third bottle of squirt butter; mix it up a little, then add approx. 3/4 cup milk to moisten. Stir to moisten all flour.
Get two spoons to drop dumplings into simmering broth. Dip spoon into hot broth to help keep from sticking. After dropping all the dumplings in, cover the pot and let it all steam up for about 10-15 minutes on very low.

You can use a combination of the recipies listed above. But I brown my chicken 1st, with my seasonings, onion, bell pepper, garlic etc. then I cook it down with water making a gravy. When the gravy tastes good & is seasoned well then I use frozen biscuits, not canned biscuits. Or you can use bisquick mix. Whatever you do, don't use canned biscuits.Canned biscuits give it a fake taste, frozen biscuits taste like they're made from scratch. Then cook the cut up biscuits in your gravy until done or your choice of consistancy. I like mine large & gooey. So I make big ones & little ones. Trust me. There will be none left. I can never cook enough.
