HHmmm....lemme think about this one....

I would have to say based on my medical experience....that emotions are secondary to electrolyte imbalances in people with ineffective kidney function or renal failure.

Since the kidneys filter water and salts from your body....if there is any kind of impairment with this function, such as in renal failure, you may have too much salt or water in your body.

Too much salt is called hypernatremia. I've seen people go completely batty and/or become lethargic with this imbalance. Not to mention your BUN and creatinine sky rocket....when this happens, we know that other minerals don't filter out....because you're simply not urinating....too much of a good thing is bad....

So in conclusion, I would have to say that renal failure or kidney impairment CAN affect your emotions.

Although being in a committed, bonded relationship can enrich your life, feeling unable to function without another person could lead to a problem like Relational Dependency. Relational Dependency is a progressive disorder, meaning that the relationship may start off healthy but one person becomes gradually more controlling of or dependent upon the other, which can lead to an unhealthy relationship. Furthermore, self actualization is needed for personal growth and is thought to be a key need that motivates our behavior. In general, those who are independent and self reliant typically survive and function better in society than those who are dependent on others for happiness and sustainability. Taking control of basic tasks and life skills will not only help you stay in control of your own life, but will ultimately contribute to making you a happier person

An emotion is an automatic response, an automatic effect of man's value premises. An effect, not a cause. There is no necessary clash, no dichotomy between man's reason and his emotions—provided he observes their proper relationship. A rational man knows—or makes it a point to discover—the source of his emotions, the basic premises from which they come; if his premises are wrong, he corrects them. He never acts on emotions for which he cannot account, the meaning of which he does not understand. In appraising a situation, he knows why he reacts as he does and whether he is right. He has no inner conflicts, his mind and his emotions are integrated, his consciousness is in perfect harmony. His emotions are not his enemies, they are his means of enjoying life. But they are not his guide; the guide is his mind. This relationship cannot be reversed, however. If a man takes his emotions as the cause and his mind as their passive effect, if he is guided by his emotions and uses his mind only to rationalize or justify them somehow—then he is acting immorally, he is condemning himself to misery, failure, defeat, and he will achieve nothing but destruction—his own and that of others. I had a kidney stone while I was pregnant it was horrible, I was in the hospital twice and put on morphine drip. Worst pain ever!
I was told my kidney stone was because I had too much calcium in my body. I was pregnant and increased my calcium like you are suppose too. I was drinking lots of milk, vitamins, and tums for heartburn ( which are calcium). So I had to stop taking all of those things even though I was pregnant.
I discovered this program and I was successful.
