I tried to make some last night, but I think I cooked it a little too long(it was rock hard when it cooled, not pliable). I don't have a candy thermometer. I'm welcoming any recipes, but would be happiest with lots of specifics on timing and how to know when it's just right.

I rarely get it right myself. But I have a few times. And this is what seems to work:

2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of lemon juice

I cook it in the big pan I have because it when it boils, the bubbles will go over the edges in a smaller pan. I bring the mixture to a boil and then I put it down to just a little above medium and stir it for what seems like forever while it's still boiling. When it first turns a honey brown color, take it off the heat immediately. This is where I screw up, I don't pay attention. lol I always know if it starts to smell kind of burnt and it's a dark brown color, I've cooked it too long and it's not going to work.

On the off chance, you get it right. Let it cool, pull a piece of it off and stretch it like silly putty until it turns this absolutely gorgeous gold color - like gold silk. Stretch it across your skin in the direction of the hair and then flick it backward.

Good luck!

She was pregnant for 5 months. She made a surgery. During the surgery she lost blood and bleeded to death. The baby also died. May God be with them. edit: she had the surgery in a children's hospital in Colorado Springs in Colorado.
