You should probably mention that to your doctor but usually using anything like that long term effects how your eyes react to allergens naturally...but if you need it...you need it.

I use an eye lubricant often because my eyes don't make lubricant on their own. My opthamologist told me to use the eye lubricant 4 times a day....for the rest of my life, I suppose.

Too much or too little lubricant in the eye can cause pressure problems....leading to glaucoma or other eye problems.

I would definitely consult a physician on this one...

How I look at any medication. When we use anything, I feel over time our body gets lazy and depends on that medication to handle it. So, I try not to use any thing for a long period of time and try to change it around some too. Example; I use Aspirin, Tylenol and Ibuprofen for a headache, depending how bad it is. I not want to use just one all the time, but, keep it varied. This just how I feel and it just my opinion as to what I do. So, in your case, I would try to have 2-3 different eye drops that use different Chemicals (IF, this possible) and swap them around some. AND, suggest this to your Doctor to see what he think.

visine is especially to make your eyes whiter but it doesn't do good to the eyes. Try using Calendulene, it will calm down your allergies without arming the eyes
