I needed the money to buy cigarettes. Am I going to hell?

I'm serious. I dropped the plate and as I was picking everything up I stuffed a few envelopes down my sleeve.

good one. You mean the plate only had enough for one pack of smokes? wtf do you sit so far forward for, man? the big take is at the back (the drinking section).

I cannot tell -nobody can actually- whether you will go to hell or not. But, speaking only in terms of human dignity if you have any principles at all you should try to return what you have stolen to your church. In a very simple way, when you are presented the plate again, you just put the money in it.
Repentment is always supposed to be a good medicine to avoid Hell.

I don't know how bad stealing stolen money can be. I mean, if I found a brief-case full of cash with drugs in it, That money would be mine after I flushed the drugs. Sounds similar to me because religion is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist.

Yes, so don't worry about buying a lighter for those cigarettes. There will be plenty of fire. Now repent and give the Church back 10x the amount that you took.

To steal is wrong but to steal from the church and to buy cigarettes!!! That is Wrong!!! No you will not go to Hell if you ask forgiveness.

I'm not the one to judge if you are going to hell. thats God's job. but you need to return the money to the church and if I were you get help. it sounds like you have an adiction.

maybe you could make it up by giving the amount back to the church and give the same (or even double) that amount of money to other , more needy charities, like the local humane society or unicef. and, if your religion demands it, confess.

that was a stupid thing to do. there is no hell but you are messing up your health
my dad smokes and he has cancer.
(don't worry though, he will live for a while yet)
