I am generally on the cusp of mentall illness at any given time and have no problems when my friends find it funny. I personally can find humour in almost anything, but maybe i'm a bit twisted.

In that case I must be a bit twisted too. Its finding the humour in bad situations that tend to get us through it. If we didn't laugh we'd scream! Its not wrong to feel like that - its just a survival mechanism. x

Your head is your private space and you can think whatever you want. I personally don't believe anyone has the right to hurt other people's feelings, so you must hide your funny thoughts, which you may not be able to avoid as some things just look funny. I have funny thoughts about lots of people and no idea if they are mental or not. Or if I am or not sometimes! I also suffer from inappropriate laughter which truly is a condition where one laughs when under stress. My doctor has had to prescribe a pill that I have to take to go to funerals. It is very hard to deal with this condition. sometimes I can fake crying instead. It comes from growing up in a very chaotic and scary home where one never knew what would happen next. anyway, this is turning into a journal, so adios, and please be kind to any of God's creations.

I've been in mental hospital a few times & they're extremely funny. Even through their suffering, I don't know how I find them so sweet & funny. I wondered about that also. but I know i'm laughing with them & not at them.I don't do it very openly so as to not offen them but a lot of people with mental illnesses are extremely intelligent & when u point out to them what they;re saying they laugh too! What would be do without crazy people!!!

It doesn't seem wrong to laugh if a mentally ill person says or does something funny, they may laugh also. I used to work with a boy w/severe disabilities and sometimes he would just start giggling then I would find he had done something silly and I would laugh also. Sometimes I couldn't find what he was laughing about but I'd laugh anyway cause to hear him laugh was funny in itself

No, it'snot wrong. A good sense of humour can be really helpful. Finding things funny is usually a sign that your brain is beginning to repair itself anyway.

Even better if you can get the folks you find funny to laugh with you.

There was strange man walking around the A&E department. And when he came out he had a giant bandage around his head.

And then somebody from the pub asked him he had fallen on his head.

Then all the pub casualties came in, the ones that had been face bottled and there was a lot of blood.

Don't get ill over the weekend.

i think you are young and maybe immature. one day you will discover that bad things happen to decant people and they can become very down and lack confidance because of it, and they need love not being rediculed. one day someone bad may happen to you, you could be mugged and beaten you dont, know so you should not laugh at others. some peopel have bad childhoods and it is not their fault.
