Hi, can anyone tell me any tv shows Mormons watch other than Little House on the Prairie? No funny answers please, I'm trying to buy a gift, thank you!

Ok, please no more dumb answers like "anything on tv, they are people". I know they are people! I just don't want to offend them and I am not a TV watcher so thanks for your help that is useful!

Mormons are not that different than other religious people. Unless the person is on the finatic end, or very young, most nonviolent, no T&A movies are OK. If they are a missionary, they can only watch religious LDS videos...

^^: It depends entirely upon the individual, although they are admonished to avoid gratuitous sex, violence, and profanity. Mormons are fairly ordinary people, and they watch approximately the same amount of television as anyone else.
I don't imagine you could go wrong with a good, healthy comedy or a well-paced, thought-provoking drama.
Make sure they don't already own what you are planning to buy, however. I'm not entirely sure why, but most Mormon families tend to own fairly extensive video and DVD collections. It can get a little frustrating around Christmas time, when you wish you could just find an 'easy' gift. *laughs*

Buy a Mormon movie as a gift. Get The R.M.
My friend thinks it's really funny. (She's Mormon) and I guess it's based on a Mormon missionary returning home. Good luck with that!

It depends on the individual, we try to avoid things that have lots of sex or violance or foul words, but then again it is a personal choice. Talk to the person and find out. If it were me, I enjoy Japanese Cartoons and Chinese Movies.
All the other members I talk to like educational shows also.
