I think I want to go to college but is it better to go to community college close by or a university. I do not think I will get any scholarship cause I am just an avrage student. I really do not want to leave my dad alone yet with my little sister and brother and my parents are divorced. What is a good plan for me? Do I HAVE to decide now what I want to do with my life.

hey you need to just take a deep breath and just relax i understand what you are going through and it is tough. just try the best that you can who cares what other people think of you it is your furture not theres. you can go to a college that you can drive to every morning and come back home, since you do not want to leave your family alone then do not have a dorme, write down your thoughts and worries and just try to do things ahead of time in high school and when you have free time think of what you want to be when you grow up. Think what is best for you

Hello,
It depends on what state you are in, if you are in California, you should still apply to private colleges and depending on number of people in your family and income then you may qualify for state and federal money. Feel free to contact me if I can help with anything else.
The links below can help figure out how to qualify for state and federal aid. If you are from a single parent home you can afford to go to college and remain close to your dad. I think you are a great kid to think about your family before yourself.
