Samsung was only a few years ago considered the bottom rung of quality TV. In the last couple of years, the company has made improvements to their TVs. On the other hand, so has other TV manufacturers. Samsung at best is good quality.Yet price wise, it's a good bargain. They are always on the lower side of the price range.

We've had a Samsung HDTV for over a year now and have been pleased picture wise. My only complaint would be the sound levels. We are using the TV's speakers and not external speakers. Now, I'm not sure if the problem lies with our cable box or with the TV but on many channels we have to max out the sound level (to 100) and even then we wish we could make it louder. But, as far a reliability and picture quality we haven't had any problems.

Samsung is what I call a good value TV. They provide a good picture without breaking the bank. They are not the best ( on their HDTVs I particularly don't like the DNIe processor they use because of the video noise I see on non HD content) but for the most part they are worth the money.

yes. I have had their products and they lasted a very long time. I got rid of the last tv, but it was already 12 years old and still worked just fine.
