The acid from the vomit probably burned your esophagus and damaged it a bit. Since we can never really give our throat a rest (as we are always swallowing) you are unintentionally re-injuring it over and over again each day. For now, I'd say stay away from ALL spicy foods and foods with acid (like salsa, oranges, lemons, tomatoes.) Stay away from really hard foods as well (tacos, chips, cookies, crackers ....) They don't break up well when chewed and will irritate your throat even more when you try to swallow them. Stick with the liquid-y types like soup, jellos, pudding ... And yes, warm tea with honey. I'd skip the lemon (too much acid) and salt at this time. If in a week you don't feel MUCH better, go see your doctor, you may actually have a tear or you may have created a small ulcer in your throat and that will only heal with medication.
Good luck & feel better soon! (And next time, don't throw up, just stick to a liquid diet for a day or so until you get passed the over stuffed feeling of over eating!)

Try cooking fresh pears with honey. Drain the juice and drink it. It's supposed to be good for sore throats. I also like honey sweetened iced tea. It's very soothing when I get bronchitis. If you're in an area that has Chinese grocery stores try finding cough drops with honeysuckle or olive extract in it. They are wonderful on sore throats.
