Yes. It is very possible. That's why the brain is in the head and the heart in the chest because they are not one. If both don't agree with each other, i think its best to follow whats on the mind, because the mind is objective it sees the pros and cons, while the heart only sees what ot wants to see.

Yes, it is possible. All the time we see people that love someone that isn't good for them. They could be drug dealers, they could be thieves, they could be just plain horrible mean people, but sometimes.. the heart sees something that your head disagrees with.. and people in love will follow their heart. Where do you think the phrase "Love is Blind" comes from?
There really isn't anything that a blind person in love can do.. they're not going to listen to reason, they're not going to have their heart broken on purpose.. the only thing they can do is learn to see for themselves that there is something amiss.. and hopefully learn from the experience.

Oh, yeah. The mind and heart can and do disagree lots of the time. The heart is not smart, at all. The mind does not have emotions, at all. This will lead to conflicting views much of the time.

your mind and your heart are seldom on the same level. To be honest I have been where you are believe me nothing good can come from it, I ended up in the hospital because I thought I loved him so much and when he left I thought I could not live. Does he say that to you often that you hate yourself if you love him? it will come down to the point you believeing that you are not good enough, he has issues, find someone who appreaicates your affection.

Dear friend, you are indeed a true friend just by being this concern about your pal. Your pal is simply in denial. There must be a possibility that she is not believing that she is loving that guy. The answer is ..yes it is possible for one's mind to think differently from one's heart. Advice your pal to listen and analyse her heart. Analyse carefully..though. Hmmm.. that makes me think about my feelings about someone too.

Of course it is possible. Why do so many abused women stay with their men? This is her choice, and there is nothing you can do. Just hope that she wises up and makes the right choice.

I would listen to my mind. It's never failed me before, and I should have listened to it the first time I screwed up relationship-wise. Ask your friend, "Who's more important — him or you?" I guarantee that she'll say, "Me." Once she can realize that, she'll feel a lot better.
