we have our own local language. english in our place is patterned from the americans so whenever i talk to british people they usually comment on my english. help please.

The best way is to spend time with an English person and speak face to face with them regularly.

Just through conversation you will learn so much about just how different the American language is to English.

I call it English and not British because the Welsh and Scottish do have a few words and phrases that the English don't use e.g. a wee boy.

Maybe a short intensive course in your area with an English person will help, or tell an English friend you want some help and meet them regularly.
Or what would be even better would be to come to England and spend some time living with English people. You'll pick it up so much quicker that way and be speaking real English before you know it!

learn american lingo online .. its the same as british but with a difference. or read Wren and Martin grammar book or the best british dictionary
