My school is tiny and i'm new here, so I have no clue if i should try to shut off any feelings i have for him. I'm 16 and he's 15 there is only a 9 month age gap, technically both of us could be sophomores, but i'm afraid i may be rationalizing bc i don't want people to be judgemental of me and it's been tough adjusting to new friends and wicked tough teachers....help!

The age difference is nothing. My grandmother was five years older than my grandfather. Even at your ages nine months is very small.

The real question is why you're ahead a grade and he's behind a grade. The reasons behind that could be a source of incompatibility, but it's really for you to decide whether there's a maturity difference along with it. Just don't hold yourself back for his sake. It would only be a cause of resentment later.

I'm a guy who knew two girls who went with boys younger than they were.
It, too, was a tiny school, and they took a lot of flak for it, but they stuck to their guns and had some fun.
I can't recall how long they both went out, but I know it lasted at least that school year.

U haven't gone insane. I know plenty of juniors that have gone out w/ ninth graders. As 4 your friends, if they are really your friends, they would support u. U can like whomever u want 2 like.

Nah, that's not weird. Especially if you're only 9 months apart.

I knew girls last year (freshman year) who went with seniors to prom. Now that was another story....

People will judge you no matter what you do for the rest of your life so if you like this freshman go for it. I was a senior & my boyfriend was a freshman & he was the best boyfriend I ever had.
