The safest place to download *any* program is generally from the publisher's website. In this case, that would be http://www.getfirefox.com or http://www.mozilla.com .

I feel the safest place to download it is directly from the source.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Always save any download and scan it before you open it. I have a special folder I download everything to. I call it DOWNJUNK. That way I can easily scan everything before it is opened.

To create this folder....

Start>Control Panel>Local Disk C>righlt click in a open space>click New>Folder>name it what you want or like I did DownJunk. Now just download everything to that folder so you can scan it before opening.

Cool Uh?
