It drives me so mad, last night I was constantly woken up by this stink. We ended up having a massive row and I kicked him out into the spare room, am I being selfish or is he?

If only I could fart like him but I can't, it must be a man thing.

He reckons if I don't like it then I should sleep in the spare room - who is right?

Yes, why oh why do men think farting is soooo funny? Of course we all do it sometimes but I think you should avoid it when in company. To me its a massive turn off, & you did right to kick him out of bed. For me its one of the good things about being single, no farting (or snoring come to that!)

My ex used to fart constantly, and extremely loudly. Talk about disgusting. The smell would literally linger for hours with me gagging and barfing. He would just continue to laugh like a donkey and fart some more. My son tried to out run the fart smell by racing upstairs, but guess what? The fart made it upstairs before him There was no escape except to go outside. When I told the ex to go outside to fart, he refused and said he wasn't a dog. My son and I lived with this every day for years. I am not kidding when I say it was pure agony and torture. I was always concerned that his farts would attach themselves to my clothes and I would go to work smelling like a big fart. How can anyone just blow loud, stinky farts all day long? This can't be normal.

well, he isn't being "selfish" because he has gas, it's natural. But it is insensitive to subject you to it. He should have gone to the spare bed after the first complaint from you, to be a gentleman.
I have no idea why men get such juvenile gradeschool giggles over disgusting body noises and odors. But most of them do. It's part of their makeup I guess. I doubt that the more educated and refined men do this, though. I can't imagine Donald Trump or Bill Clinton flapping the covers and saying "boy that was a good one, huh?" as you run gagging and puking from the room.

Yes, they do. They don't have manners and if we ladies does it they get mad. Good for you, kicking him out of the bed, he will learn. That gave him a lesson or did it?

It's annoying, but come on we all fart. You can't expect him to keep it bottled up in there, he'd get cramps.

Crepitation will happen, however the "Dutch Oven" joke is maybe funny a maximum of once. I don't thikn you are over-reacting. Your bloke should either change his diet or grow up...
