Why don't you try to study and read the bible instead of guessing at what is said in it. It is not money that is the root of all evil, but the love of mony that is the root of all evil.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

When people get too much money and love it and soley depend on it for their survival in life, they have left their faith in God's will behind and are serving their money and not God.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Mammon means wealth

No. Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:10. 'For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. This verse is often misquoted as 'money is the root of all evil'. In other words greed is the root of all evil ... And it probably is!

First of all, lets get the correct quote. Agree !

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Its tells us, For the "love" of money is the root of evil.

Nothing wrong to have money. Its is wrong to love it more than anything else. Money can't buy your way into Heaven. Lots of people love money more than life.

Jesus didn't say that; Paul said the love of money ws the root of all evil. When used correctly, money can be a good thing. Eccl. 7:12 says: "For wisdom is for a protection the same as money is for a protection."

Jesus said the love of money is the root to evil not just money, you can have money it's how you use it that counts after all god the father said after the fall that from now everyone would have to work for a living. money is a tool. it's how you use your tools and resources that count, meaning you're not suppose to put your treasures before your worship of God. if money wasn't allowed nobody could live and you couldn't give and use giving as part of worship (Tithe and offering.)

While money is not the root of all evil, it sure causes a lot of disharmony over its ownership. Profit is not a dirty word. Greed is a dirty word. The sharing and spreading of wealth could make our world a better place. So obviously, our use of money is at the root of all evil.

A sin is simply anything that comes between you and the Spirit of Gods guidance in your life.it doesn't matter if its money or food. Its it occupies to much of your attention and takes you away from the Spirit then it must be balanced somehow in your life. whatever it May be. the Spirit of God is the most important influence a person must have . That Spirit is what Jesus left for us to guide us. Jesus is in heaven with his father. This is all we have here on earth.we must try to ask of it direction and do Gods will. Peace
