No one can diagnose you from here - you could have a bad pimple in your ear all the way to a serious ear infection. You simply have to seek medical attention. If you don't have a doctor, go to an urgent care facility.

For starters, it is an inner ear infection. This means there is wax trapping water or pus behind it, deep inside your ear.

The only answer is to see a doc.

If you have a WalMart nearby, they might have a clinic, mine does. It is about $45 for an ear infection visit.

Don't mess around, the hearing loss could be permanent. Also, infections in the ear or teeth can actually go to the brain. It isn't something to dilly dally with. Go to the doc asap.

Home remedy's are as follows:

Have someone blow cigarette smoke in the ear every hour. The smoke heats up the wax and might break the barrier keeping the wax in place.

Use warmed "sweet oil" drops. You can get these from any drug store for about $3.

Use peroxide to bubble out the wax and infection and dry the wetness with alcohol. Use a ear syringe with warm water and peroxide mixed to flush the ear.

If these all sound iffy, it is because they are old fashioned remedies and should only be used if there is no access to a doctor.

I agree with some of the posts above - there is no way that anyone can diagnose exactly what the problem is here.
You shouldn't follow any remedies etc posted here until you have seen your GP or sought other medical advice, from a professional in person, and been given an official diagnosis.....they will probably prescribe what is needed to treat it...
If you are in the UK, you can ring your local surgery now if urgent, and get the number for the on call doctor, or go to a walk in centre. If not urgent, ring tomorrow morning as soon as the surgery opens to make an appointment with a GP.

Never ever try to treat ear problems yourself unless it is something very minor such as deafness caused by ear wax. Always see a Doctor as infections of the ear can spread into the brain and should therefore be treated with Antibiotics.

Unless you've banged your ear on something, its probably an ear infection, the pain could be caused by swollen glands, try using some kind of decongestant for your sinuses to see if that helps with your deafness. You should go to the doctor, you probably need antibiotics if it is an infection.

Go and see a doctor about it, or if you can't for whatever reason go on the NHS Direct website at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk and have a look at the self-help section. This site helps you to diagnose problems and gives you good advice. Alternatively call the NHS helpline on 0845 46 47
