I'm a Klingon in a sense. The flesh without the spirit is just a shell.
I'm not sure what this stem-cell stuff is all about? The articles I read
are clearly biased in one way or the other.
It needs further study!

I am totally "pro" stem cell research. I am a practicing roman catholic and think it's disgusting that the president is against it. even if it does involve and embryo, the reports I hear were using the stem cells from an aborted fetus, would end up in biological waste disposal anyway. you can't stop people from having an abortion if they have set their minds on having one, so why not have some good come from it? using the stem cells to find ways to cure otherewise incurable illnesses--I can't figure out why this is a bad thing. using an aborted fetus to save people who are already living-how this is bad is beyond me. I know it is tied to the whole belief that abortion is wrong, but honestly-get over it. people are going to have abortions if they want to, whether it is legal or not. I may be young, but I know what happened in the 70s with back alley abortions and secret clinics. I heard all about that and so you have to realize that whether you think it's right or wrong is irrelevant to the question of whether or not something good can come from the embryo that is going to be disposed of by the doctor who does the abortion. it can be used to save the lives of people who are actually living and in pain with a terminal illness who could become well when there truly isn't another option and this could work. so yes, I am all for it.

I am a Sabbatarian. Stem cell research on embryos and aborted baby's has never shown any success in the laboratory, even though it has been going on for a very long time. The research on adult stem cells however, has shown a lot of promise in the lab. I support stem cell research into adult stem cells, I do not however support the research of embryo and aborted baby's stem cells. Because to support it would be to support abortion and human cloning.

I am "go" on stem cell research and most folks should know that embryos are not the best source for stem cells, just one that is convenient (thus all the hoopla about it)

Pro. Atheist. Apparently embryonic stem cells are different but there are plenty of couples seeking IVF to start hundreds of additional stem cell lines. Maybe even thousands! The anti-abortion people need to stop the IVF and stop worrying about how unused blastocysts are disposed of.

i think Christian's (no offense) are the only ones trying to ban it.i am Muslims and we Muslims are pro stem cell research because we believe in the benefits of it.and im sure if any of those anti stem cell research people got cancer they would be the first ones up there supporting it.

There is no argument against stem-cell research, that is what amazes me. The people who argue against it rarely know what it is. It is in a different realm than reproductive cloning. And better yet, reproductive cloning of humans is impossible. It is not "killing" anything.

I think all theoretical science has to be done carefuly least we unleash another A Bomb on the world.
I'm not opposed to it, but I think scientists have to take personal repsonsibility and if they serious goof we may have to pour cement over the lab with them inside it to keep the rest of us safe from their goofs. If they are willing to do the work under those rules, cool. The last thing we need is a man-made plague running lose on the Earth.
I believe in God and Jesus.

You would not be asking that question if they were sucking the stem cells out of you.
