A doctor's opinion is probably required, I will however tell you that what you are describing sounds to me like a "boxer's fracture." I shamefully suffered that when younger by punching a concrete wall. I damaged the bones in my hand so much I required surgery. Though your fracture doesn't sound as bad as mine (as I couldn't even open and close my hand) the Doc explained this was a common injury where the nuckle is pushed into the hand and that without medical care could lead to "bones fusing" and limited mobility in the hand for the rest or your life. Swinging by your local ER for an X-ray may not be a bad idea. Good luck - and dude, stop fighting.

I agree with David B, it sounds like a slight boxers fracture that you've picked up.

or you may've severly jammed that knuckle, so you'll need to have a couple of X-rays to find out just what kind of dammage has been done.

it'll prob'ly return on it's own once the fluid settles out from the injury.

so check with your doctor about the proper way to handle the recover process, you may just need a hand splint to support it until it recovers.

its a "boxers fracture" of the distal 4th metacarpal. need xray to see how angulated it is and if itll heal without an ortho doc cranking it around, or maybe a k wire.

It may well be broken or dislocated. See a Dr.
