It depends. If the "bad" feeling is only the pull of a religious system you no longer really believe in, then it may be something you need to move beyond in your search for the truth. But if it is the call of a community that you have been apart from and need to re-discover, then follow it and see where it will take you. You are a seeker. Trust in God. Be wise and be kind. Make up your own mind.

Because deep down you know you are a good person, and everybody needs something to believe in or they will go through life just exiting and feeling empty inside.Don't listen to these people who don't believe in a god, because they are the ones should feel bad. They need all the help and understanding they can get! Their life will be hell without something to believe in!

Because they lied to you and told you that God lives on a far off cloud called heaven or in a building called a church. Jesus told us that the kingdom of God is within each of us.

Thinking about it this way do you feel bad for not meditating?

Love and blessings Don

Well if you are a Christian then it's probably because the Holy Spirit is convicting you for forsaking the assembly of the Saints and not engaging in corporate worship.

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

On the positive side, Don't you feel good after going to church???
One hour a week is not too much time to give to our Lord who is there for us all the time when we need him.
Don't we receive blessings and grace when we go to church.
Maybe you don't need it but I do all the time.

(Jereimah 29:12-13) Then shall ye call upon Me [GOD], and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you.

(Jer 29:13) And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me = With All Your HEART.

Because it grieves the Holy Spirit, who indwells in you. It's my power source for the week, and I feel like I'm not getting my batteries charged when I don't go. I have to go out of town today, so I'm missing it.

It's all in your head. God doesn't exist, going to church is a waste of time. Deep down inside, you know that, but you're in denial.
