Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

OK man, I had the same problem. These are a few things I did to help. Stop drinking caffeine. Yes I know that's not a good suggestion but at least keep it in the morning. 2) When I do get up I'll get up early enough to run a mile and workout for about 25 minutes. By the time you are ready to go to bed your body is drained will want rest more. 3)Cut sugars out a few hours before bed and food altogether if possible. And 4) Don't go to bed ticked off. Try and relax or you'll never sleep then you get up the next morning even madder. Take a hot shower before bed. Yes drugs are exspensive and you can become dependent on them which will never help. I'f I've had a ruff week and Im not working on the weekend, one night I might take a benadryl before bed. That is a cheap over the counter decongestent and will allow me to have a great nights rest but, beware. If you have to get up early it will make you feel grogy or dopy - TacMedicUS

don't nap in the middle of the day. get some exercise. don't sit down at the computer when you are ready to lay down in bed. don't eat right before bed. get only about 8 hours of sleep a night, too much more or less will screw up your schedule. don't drink alcohol (though it may be good to put you to sleep). do something really relaxing before going to bed. don't watch tv. take a bath, read a book. dim the lights, lavendar scents help calm the body. light a candle. ( i know these aren't manly things to do, but if you are desperate...) do some yoga, practice deep breathing. etc etc. good luck.

im exactly the same, i feel tired all day, but then it hits 11pm and im wide awake till atleast 2am. then the whole vicious cycle starts again.
things that have helped me are all to do with relaxation, read a book for about 45 mins before you want to sleep. when you lay down to sleep you need to try and switch your brain off, dont worry about things are happening or things you have to do tomorrow.just picture yourself alone on a beach and imagine the waves crashing softly on the beach. take a few deep, slow breathes and just focus on the clam of the ocean.
it helps me, hope it can do the same for you :) good luck

Try natural MELATONIN 1 or 2 Mg. one hour before bed. Take vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine) 50 mg. along with the melatonin. this will set your brain into sleepy mode. These are not drugs, they are cheap, natural supplements sold OTC at any pharmacy or vitamin stores.
try it and let me know how you do. This really helps me a lot.

Have you thought about having a sleep study. Sometimes people need a machine to help them breath etc while sleeping. There are quite a few over the counter herb remedies such as valarian root. Its all natural and It helped me. I also got rid of the husband lol that helped. Try and lower your stress. I have my new darling husband give me a full body massage head to toe and that helps to. gl
