yes. There have been many. Some true and some false. For the most part, how you can tell, is that the person goes through many trials, and his prophecy is in agreement with the ones in the bible. And yes, the bible says there will be prophets after Jesus. There were prophets before him and there are prophets after him. God would not abandon us so quickly.

"your young men will have visions and your old men will dream dreams" Plain as day. People who believe that John the Baptist was the last prophet, are speaking of the last one before the Christ. There are still many people who afterwards prophecied, like St Stephen as he was being stoned to death, and St Paul who wrote the book of Revelations.

Those who say that St John the Baptist was the last one, certainly didn't notice that St Paul came AFTER Christ's death and resurrection. Up to that point, he was happily persecuting Christians.

If a prophecy terrifies you and later depresses you, it is probably a false prophecy. If a prophecy terrifies you, but later you feel strengthened, it may be worthwhile. However, it is best to test the prophecy. It ought to be confirmed by more than just blind faith.

Sure there were prophets after Jesus Christ.

Acts 21:10 While we were staying for many days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 And coming to us, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands and said, "Thus says the Holy Spirit, 'This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.'"

Acts 15:32 Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.

1 Corinthians 14:3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort.

A true prophet's words never contradict the Scriptures in the Bible unlike the so called "prophets" of Mormanism or Islam.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this the Spirit of God is known: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made....14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Today prophets are those who preach the Bible like it is written. They expose prophecy and warn the people of hell as well as the second coming of Christ. A false prophet is anyone who teaches anything that cannot be found in the Word of God. Prayerful study of God's Word is the best way to protect yourself from false prophets. If you don't know what God said then how do you know if your being lied to? Also anyone claiming to be Christ is a false prophet. Christ said when he returned the whole world would know it immediately.

Matthew 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones. 25 Look! I have forewarned YOU.

2 Timothy 3:6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

True prophets are those from the Bible. otherwise, i dont think so...

No, he didn't say that. There will be false prophets and if there are false prophets then there will be prophets from God. When a prophet from God tells you something, it is from God and will ALWAYS come to pass. A false prophet is like, Jean Dixon and all the others who try to predict things. Some will happen and some will NOT happen. These are false prophets. You will know them by their fruits.

Know that Jesus warned of false prophets
Also Muhammad warned of false prophets.

BUT what jesus did, he showed them the signs of a false from a true one.
MEANING that there will be a true one and how to recognize him.

In the other hand, Muhammad said there is no true prophet after me.
Muhammed is a messenger of God.
Jesus is also a messenger of God, he will comeback but not with a new message, but to correct people's beliefs.

Well, that is an interesting question. I don't have scripture for you to go to but, Yes Jesus was the last prophet. From what I read and recall When Jesus came to earth, and died for our sins a couple of things were created. I) was heaven. Prior to that there was no heaven it was called"Abraham's Bosom".This is talked about in the Old testament. It was like Heaven but not heaven.
2) When Christ died and rose from the dead the Holy Spirit was a gift for us. In the bible it talks about when after Christ died there would be no more Miracles, healing, or prophecies. They would be of the Devil and not by him. The Devil like to fool and deceive. I hope this makes any sense. Good Luck.

Jesus ( PBUH) warned of false prophets because they were many false prophets in his time as well. However he said in the meaning: I have yet many things to say to you but you can’t bear them now and the spirit of truth will come and will glorify me and will declare that I am the Messiah. and non Christian scripture declared the Messiah (Christ) other than Muhammad. So he he the last prophet.
3:45 Behold! Angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Messiah Jesus the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.”

by his fruits what he says and does Mohammed had sex with a young girl is that the sine of a prophet of God ??
Galatians 5:16-26 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't
fulfill the lust of
the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the
Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the
other, that you may not do the things that you desire. 18 But
if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now
the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual
immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20 idolatry, sorcery,
hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries,
divisions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies,
and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also
forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not
inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, shalom, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no
law. 24 Those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh
with its passions and lusts. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let's
also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let's not become conceited,
provoking one another, and envying one another.
