Jesus gave us some traditions such as holy communion, while others have come down by 2,000yrs of tradition to enable Gods people to show their worship of Him, I know of no empty rituals in the Christian faith though.

Let me preface this by saying I am a christian but neither a catholic nor any other denomination. However, I think that any ritual that brings a person closer to God even if it is only in their minds, is never empty. If the person performing the ritual has no knowledge of it's emptiness then they cannot be held responsible, the person who indoctrinated them into the ritual would be responsible. Of those who know much, much is expected.

If there is anything going on in a church that the Bible does not support, it is indeed an empty ritual. People attend church because of the show. They like the pageantry--the pomp and circumstance. They enjoy watching the parade. They like seeing old men in brightly colored robes being followed by altar boys bearing candles and who knows what.To them, it does not matter if a church service is conducted in Latin or some other dead language. The big production is what they go to see.

ONE: You did not SPECIFY what Rituals you are Speaking About?

But I know what you Mean! Here is Your Answer!

(Amos 8:11) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

(Luke 6:46) And why call ye Me [JESUS], Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

(James 1:22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Thanks, RR

I'm sure pagans and even satanists will agree, there is nothing phoney about spiritual power! Magnetism is an awesome spiritul power!
Holy water is made of water which has magnetic properties, and salt, which is a crystal form, and has magnetic properties. Plus the fact sound is a
spiritual power, the Spoken Word. And names that have been used for centuries have spiritual power. So the invoking of the Godhead over the
Holy water gives it more energy.
Invokations always increase spiritual energy. As in the Mass.
We also have a spiritual defensive shield around us. Holy Communion
lets this defensive shield down. The act of taking the body and the blood
"into" ourselves, allows the Holy Spirit to enter in and do the work of
Healing and Unifying the Body of Christ.

IF the Lords church has empty rituals, then it is because they have substituted mans laws for Gods Laws, and are no longer the church of God.
