Every day, around 4-6 am, the route driver for the bread co. stops by the store to see how many loaves sold, and how many are still there. All bread's dates are monitored by color. If he notices that an old color is on the bread on the shelf, he takes the bread and replaces it with newer bread with a different color tag.

This is good not only for quality control (they won't be selling much bread if the store customers are unhappy with it), and will help the marketer make more $$ (they won't make any money if they haven't put more bread on the shelf to sell)

I believe the other tag color is white. I refer to them when I am buying bread to get the freshest which you will find behind the older bread, and sometimes I won't buy bread that day because there is no fresh available, depends on the tag color.

I know the order they go in is blue, red, orange, green and yellow, and that there is no bread delivery on Sunday, but I can't remember the other day. If you remember the BROGY rule, you can always get the freshest bread!
