I ask this same question once in a meditation. The answer came clear as a bell.

It said I have placed you here to learn the true meaning of Love. What ever it was that was answering then told me something that really set me back. It said that I felt the way I did about certain people because I did not understand the true meaning of love. I protested and said that I did my best to love all of the people who were deserving of love.

It replied "yes that is your misunderstanding. You see love as something that you dole out in tiny little portions here and there to people who you have judged to be worthy of it. This is not love at all, it is only judgment". This stopped me dead in my tracks. I suddenly realized that what it was saying to me was true. This realization brought me to tears. It went
on and told me, "You treat love as though there is some shortage of it. It is not something that you can run out of. The more love that you give, the more love that there is in the world. Its that simple. The only way that there can be a shortage of it is if you hoard it and keep it to yourself."

It went on to explain, that "this is what Jesus was trying to tell you when he asked you to turn the other cheek, to judge not and to love your neighbor. He made no exceptions in these things that he requested of you. Why are you making exceptions, and judging some as worthy of love and others as not? Jesus fully intended for you to apply this love that you are to all, in a universal manner without any judgment of any sort". By this time the tears Were flowing freely. I was crying because for the first time in my life I Understood what the message Jesus left for us in the bible actually meant.

This has become my truth. I can't say what yours is for sure, but I have a feeling that it is probably similar.

The ultimate objective is to get restored to the God of this Universe so you can go into the next level of His creation where there is nothing negative. This is boot camp and the place where the wheat is seperated from the chaff. Life is a trial and a test, especially for those that have found truth. Once you have found it there is an enemy here that will try to steal it from you. It is this very strong test that can last, and will last until you surrender to God completely. It is not a 50/50 deal. It is 100% surrender that will free you from the test. You can live today as Adam and Eve lived before they sinned. The World will try to pull you into worring about everything and to spend most of your time surviving, but when you surrender, you get to walk with God even today. It is the most interesting place you can walk today. The idea is to get totally with God so that when you leave here it is nothing more then a graduation. If you are walking in sin, then the devil will not test you much. He wants you to think that everything is good at the party. That is where he deceives you. The first step in acheiveving does not have to come from distress, but usually does when you finally get to the end of your own resources. You can have a wonderful life today. Yes there will be test, but those test can serve as comfirmation that you are doing something right and the devil wants to stop you. You have authority over the darkness in God, so stay in God and order satan out of your life in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN This is not about religion. This is about the reason you are here.

The "spirit" world is full of life. There are different dimensions, and the
life there isn't all perfect!
Imagine this. Another lifefrom looks down on Earth, with a snobby, superior
attitude. "Look at those filthy humans. God should destroy them all!"
And God says, "Why don't you go live in that world, and see how you do?"
They say spirits are lined up to get into this world. To try and overcome
false pride, self-righteousness and hypocrisy. And the reason they are lined up, is because this material world is one of the hardest to overcome those things in!

It may not sound 'sexy' but its the truth; the ultimate objective in life is to love God with all your heart, with all your strength, soul, and mind; and to love your neighbor as yourself. We have to be brought to the point that life is not about self-fulfillment, but about glorifying God. Like the scripture says, "Those who seek to save their life will lose it, and those who give up their life for my sake, shall gain it."

Life is transient. Nothing in the universe is permanent, but all things keep evolving.

Therefore, even if your life have an objective, it is just something that will pass-by. Hence, there's no "ultimate" objective.

Sorry to disappoint you that your life cannot be as grand as you want it to be, but thats the fact !!!

"The grandeur of a human's life is the greatest fallacy of his mind".(allanTeh 2006 AD)

someone said 'you must pray for the god and dont ask questions and just follow the book.' i truly don't agree with that. we must ask questions to learn. without which there is no point. we r endowed with our intellects so that we may question n find out not just believe something someone says n follow it without experiencing it ourselves. otherwise it is just indoctrination, like what is happening to terrorist who believe they'll attain heaven by killing thousands of innocent.

That's for each individual to determine for themselves....if they have an objective. I don't see it as something necessary.
