According to God's Word (Bible), Obedience is better than sacrifice. Read your Bible prayerfully each day seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Then live your life according to how God leads you.
Secondly finding the perfect "religion" is impossible. Human natural makes perfect unobtainable in this world. Don't waste time seeking the perfect. Just do as God leads you and don't compare yourself to others. We are each individuals and have to find our own relationship with the Savior. What may be right for the neighbors may be sin for you.

As any talisman will do to attract satan, the only thing that will attract the one and only Living God, is a contrite heart. You are going about it all wrong, you should not want the glory and power for your self, but only for the honor of God, not boasting, but meekness.
