The bible says God chastens those he loves. The bible also says it is the goodness of God that leadeth man unto repentence. Alot of the bad things that happen in this world is not from God but because of sin. People make choices in this world and when it turns out bad they blame God. If people would carefuly think out the choices they are about to make then made less bad things would happen.

God neither punishes us or rewards us in this life, only the afterlife,he may answer our prayers for what we need, but not what we always ask.Our own actions here on earth are what we decide and that is what rewards or punishes us here.God gave us freewill to make our choices and some say its all predestined,I dont believe that,God may know the outcome but has held back so that we may see for ourselves and fall in or out of his graces as we choose(like a mother lets go of her child to let him grow)

I believe that God punishes those who deserve it. "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
God does reward the righteous.
It is not really about deeds, because you cannot earn heaven, but really about whether or not you die in your sins. If you die without Christ, you die in your sins and you perish.
God deals with us in the present everyday. If you embrace him and his mercy, he will be merciful to you. If not, then he will leave you be in this harsh life to do what you want.

I believe in God, but we call him Allah. God is fair and just. He rewards those who do good and punishes those who do evil. In almost every religion there is one God who rewards and punishes. We are no different than those before us, we are humans and creatures of God, and He will deal with us the same way he has and will deal with his creations.

I dont think God does then punishing more than he allows things to happen. We can fall out of his favor and therefore lose his protection, but he rarely mets out punishment. I mean even with Job all that stuff was the Devil, God allowed it to happen. With the israelites getting captured and defeated by the baylonians. God didnt send the baylonians he allowed them to punish his people, withdrawing from them his favor and protection. I think he is waiting and wanting us to call on him for all of our troubles.

My God sees all of us as being perfect just as we are.

He/She judges nothing so there is nothing to punish.

God lets us come here to learn, and sees all of our choices as legitimate ways to find our truth.

People attribute their own silly ideas about good and evil to God in the hope of creating a God who hates as the hate, and loves sparingly like a miser just as they do.

This is only a delusion they are having and it does not change the truth of God in the least.

Love and blessings Don

God is not up there waiting to throw thunder boltz at us. we simply reap what we sew. God Loves us so much he sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the final sacrifice to pay the price for our sins.
so we could have eternal life. Jesus said we are to Love Love the Lord our God Love our neighbors and to Love our enemy if we going to Hell it's because of the path we chose not because God sends us there if we are on the road to Disney world and we keep traveling that road we will eventually reach Disney world even though there are many opportunity's to change the road we are on if we die on the road to Hell with repentance of our sins we will get to go to hell. if you do bad to people here bad will happen to you, if you do good for people Good will happen to you.
