They do it to show dominance, expecially if it is a female dog.

Although humping is considered a sexual action, it can also be used to signal power and rank. Dogs do, in effect, employ humping as a way of asserting authority. Whatever the motivation, when humping is directed toward peoples’ legs, or objects in the environment, the result is the same: embarrassment for the dog owner and any guests who happen to be present.

Intact (unneutered) male dogs are most likely to engage in this disturbing behavior but neutered males and females may also express the behavior. The presence of sex hormones facilitates but does not dictate this annoying behavior. One out of three neutered male dogs and the occasional neutered female still engage in humping years after neuter surgery. Even when it’s slated to disappear, humping may persist for several months after surgery before its frequency and intensity eventually wanes.

Dogs do that to demonstrate their dominance over another. Remember they are social animals and are constantly trying to improve their position. My Female pit has been spayed and still tries to hump other dogs and the occasional leg or two and she doesn't have a crayon at all so it is a behavioral tick just try to correct him as much as you can without violence.

Female dogs will do that, as well as male dogs. It isn't anything sexual. It is a dominance thing with dogs. My female bulldog will do that to our 2 year old from time to time. I just tell her to cut it out and she goes on about her business. She usually tries to do that when the younger one has a bone or a spot on the chair or something she wants.

It's kind of a doggy passive/aggressive thing and should not be allowed.

definatly not kissing. But if they are the same gender than i doubt they are having sex. Its really weird how dogs act around eachother and how they say stuff. But if they are different genders than its a possibility that its sex as long as the boys on top.
