usually when a dogs hair falls out there is an underlying cause for this. The first thing that needs to be decided when a dog is losing his hair is whether it is falling out or whether he is scratching it out. If he is scratching at the areas of hair loss, then underlying causes of itching need to be investigated. Some causes of itching include allergies, parasites, and skin infections.
If the dog is not scratching at the areas of hair loss, then the hair is probably falling out. The hair may be falling out in patches because of infections such as pyoderma (bacterial skin infection) or dermatophytosis (fungal infection) or because of demodicosis, a disease caused by an increase in the number of Demodex mites within the hair follicles. Your veterinarian can diagnose these conditions through simple tests that can be done in the veterinary clinic. Hair loss may also occur because the hair follicles have stopped cycling. So as old hairs are falling out, new hairs fail to be produced to replace them. This results in a gradual and progressive loss of hair which is often symmetrical and involves primarily the trunk and hind legs. There is no inflammation associated with this type of hair loss so the skin does not appear red or crusty. Sometimes the fact that the hair follicles are no longer cycling is first noticed when your dog’s coat fails to regrow after clipping. Along with the hair loss, the skin may become intensely pigmented.
Many diseases and conditions are associated with hair cycle abnormalities. These include endocrine diseases such as hypothyroidism

If your dog has longer hair, a "Furminator" can be great. That thing takes off a lot of hair. Groom DAILY! Clean your home DAILY (and car, if still necessary after all the daily home and animal cleaning/grooming)! I dust, vacuum, and mop daily. But, then again, I'm a bit of a clean freak. I rarely find a pet hair on me. I've had several people comment in disbelief that I have both dogs and cats, because they never see a pet hair on me, and I guess they think all pet owners are always covered in animal hair. For me, anyway, regular grooming and bathing (my dog is bathed once a week) plus keeping my home very clean, means I simply don't have a big pet hair problem. I do keep my vehicle spotless, as well. I use my big 'Rigid' shopvac when I'm at home, in the driveway. But I also have a small car vacuum (the kind with the rotating brush on the end - - best for removing pet hair), which I keep in my car. I find that, say, when I'm waiting for my husband's train to arrive at the station, I sometimes use that time to give the interior a once over. I'm not compulsive or anything. I just like a clean home/car/wardrobe/dog/cat/etc. Happy cleaning!

Brush the coat daily, is your dog getting a balanced diet. I would suggest to back brush the coat daily and provide phosphorus( fish) and Evion 400 once a day. Also check for any skin infection and good dog shampoo.

Give him\her Eggs. One or twice a week. Mix it with food. Give it raw, I recommend only Yolk. But if you give the whole egg without shell. It will be good. And dont brush her alot. And look for a vet. If theres a serious health problem with dog; cancer or something.

VARIOUS reasons as to why your dog's hair is falling out. don't do anything until you speak with your vet. you might hurt your dog if you try and medication on him, shampoo can even make your dog's skin more irritated. TALK TO YOUR VET BEFORE YOU TRY ANYTHING ON HIS SKIN.
