Why do we live in a society where men like to live together first or have sex before marriage, work after having kids and so on? Surely if men want us to want marriage you have to be offering us something too?

In this day and age what exactly do women gain out of marriage, especially if they are the wealthiest and have the most to lose? Ok companionship and so on, but most men I meet are more needy for attention and ego massaging than women.

PLEASE men I am not talking about women who need the welfare state or want to stay in a crappy council house.

I am talking about women who have MORE money than a lot of guys nowadays. Women who are lawyers, business women proffessionals NOT schemies wanting to bring up their child on some dodgy estate.

So many men are disappointing these days. They've really lost their way and so few have anything to offer.

They seem to want perfection in a woman in almost every sense, but in return they only offer neediness, demands and, very often, poor manners and little gentlemanliness.

Of course this isn't the case for all men, but a lot really are weak chinned and hopeless - it seems that often these days they look to women for protection and strength and then still want to be seen as in charge in a marital home.

So many women feel obliged to marry and that they've failed if they don't, when really, you are right - there's not a lot in ot for us, is there?

The problem you have here is that there are also a lot of men that do not care. marriage was originally designed to be the spiritual sanctification of a couples union. A blessing of the union by the God or Gods that the couple worship. It is not suppose to be a measure of what you get out of it.
The out cry against single parentage comes from a two prong front, the first is the religious conservatives that see it as a sin and against Gods plan. The second is from those that still hold to the patriarchal scheme of things witch requires the woman to be the quasi property of the man, and sexually active only with one man so that, that man can know who his heirs are.

Things have deteriorated TERRIBLY in this present day society. Sex before marriage and living together is completely insane and most people have been brainwashed by liberalim. Men are not really men and women don't have a clue, either.

Women don't need to get married if they're independent, but men offer a protection and security and there's a joy in starting a family and living in such a wholesome environment.

Women who actually want to become single parents would need psychiatric help, in my opinion.

Bloke goes out on the pull, no sucess, knocks back the booze, Gallon and a half of 4X, drives home, wakes up in bed with an Alsation/Welsh cross called mona and realises the wedding tackle has been in use overnight san protection, Mona asks about a wedding date and as his head clears he realises his worst fears and runs from the house. Couple of months later Mona is round to discuss CSA, that is the reality, single mums hunting blokes too pissed to care but sober enough t perform, 1 kid equals a nice flat, 3 from different dads a nice CSA income.
Marry first shag later, that is the answer, for all you chaps out there, or just have a mutually satisfying one night stand, you get satisfied she gets £30.

The answer to your Question IS: Women Keep the Morality of the Country, the Nation, and Their SOCIETY!

God's chosen people, Israel, prided themselves of the Moral Virginity of their Women, As Required by The Word of God!

Here in America, Most Women are Loose, and not morally sound. HOW are most men to React?

"Why buy the Cow, when the Milk is Free" is the general thinking of most men! Only those that are Committed to God and His Word, and have a growing relationship with Christ through His Word, = HAVE AND OBEY GOD'S = POINT OF REFERENCE!

I agree with Bob J. Of course, we all know there are many good single mothers and that many men behave like rats. But some women want their cake and then whine afterwards. I think many women only have children to get a council flat and give themselves a sense of purpose.

I am a single parent because I am a strong independant person who doesn't need a man in my life to survive. I have never relied on the state to pay my way, I have always provided for myself and my child. My son is 13 and has grown into a well behaved, well balanced person who does well at school. His father is a light weight who has spent most (sorry, all) of his working life sat on his **** on the dole drinking bottles of cheap cider. He has never provided for his son but I'm the one who gets slagged off.

Then live on your own without men, lol.

I seriously doubt any man would want to hear about how he doesnt offer anything to you or having to answer for what you are not getting out of the marriage.

There is overwhelming evidence that kids need two parents.
If you disagree with that statement, then you have not done any homework on your question.
Heres a few stats for you
95%+ of kids in juvinial detention facilities, come from single parent homes.
85% of the adult criminal population in prisons, come from single parent homes.
Bottom line is that children with an absent father, are set up for failure before they even get started in life.

Jesus's mom was a single parent.

One of the things a man can offer to a woman in a marriage is his name.
