How do I install a home theatre system without exposing too much speaker wire?

I have a sorta small living room. Not sure what to do with the wires to the back speakers. I don't want to see a lot of speaker wire in the living room.

You will need a lot of speaker wire to do this. Run the speaker wire along the baseboard (you can either run each speaker cable one on each side, or run both cables on one side). This way the cable is not only out of the way, but is hardly noticeable. Depending upon the color of your room, you can get cabling that will blend in with your room for the most discreet installation.

I ran my cabes under the capet and up through the stand tubing to the speakers, except the center and the sub the wires connecting those r exposed in my room.

Under the rug would be best... Otherwise, you've got to lay the wires along the room's edges (where the wall meets the floor) and use tacks to keep the wires in place.

put the speakers in the corners and staple it down then run it along the side of the floor paint the wire the same color as the wall

Very difficult. But you can take the cables under the carpet or take them along with the wall skirting tiles.

Try and put the cabling around and under the furniture. Plus you can tack it to scerting and near the celling.
