You really should have talked to him first, but that's ok. As long as by "heartful" you don't mean "I want to have your babies and stay with you forever!" That would be pretty bad. I think in this situation, the best way to get closer is to back away. Give him some space right now. If you approach him you may seem too aggressive, which is a sign of desperation and very unattractive. So... in the meantime, you should just act happy and confident in class. Let him see that you are a positive person and fun to be around. Be patient! And don't put yourself out there like that again, let the boys suspect you like them, not know for sure absolutely with written proof:)

ah, you have done a good thing. you have given the man a compliment by telling him you like him. you have not made a fool of yourself. now he will notice you more. but you may have to go one step further and send him another card saying that if he's ok with it you'd like to talk to him in private sometime (if he is generally shy you may have to specify a time and place. make sure its not too private, but do not do it in a place where his friends can watch or overhear). make sure that the next move after that is one that he has to make, if he doesnt respond then he just may not be interested, if he does, then make your feelings clear to begin with, then after that just be honest.
it may seem a little childish, but we men are simple creatures, so it can work.

Of course he is confused... you never gave him a chance...to get to know you...You need to go and introduce yourself to him next chance you get when he is alone. Tell him you feel silly for blurting out your adoration, but you liked what you saw.
Tell him you'd like to get to know him better and visa versa...
Tell him, it was your way of breaking the ice.. so you could have a chance to meet him and talk to him.
If he likes what he sees and likes your gutsy attitude,,,you could be on your way to a date....
Now that you broke the ice, take the time,,,,,,, to get to know him..
Appearances can be deceiving... so be prepared, because you have gone out on a limb.....
Send him a note or drop it in his locker if you can't get him alone... and set up a private meeting outside school, even at the local store or cafe.. something.. so you can explain your behaviour to him...
I think if he likes this whole scenario, he will be flattered and be intrigued to know more..

Get down on your knees in front of him and beg his forgiveness...he'll thank you for it afterwards!
