If they are only here to work, then why are so many taking advantage of our social welfare system? You are not on track.

I do not trust the new President of Mexico to do anything.

Promises promises... dont you know about about politics 101?

You get elected by promising that you will do good, it doesnt say that you HAVE TO or WILL actually deliver on what you promise.

Unless I see a drop in Mexico's corruption ratings and an increase in the number of families rising out of poverty (IN MEXICO)... I wouldnt bet on a drop in illegals from Mexico. The same goes for any country from which illegals come from... no real reforms or actions occuring... dont get your hopes up.

unfortunately, the problems in Mexico will continue forever even though they have more natural resources than the US and only one third the population as us. The culture and society in Mexico is geared toward corruption. I like Mexicans and love Mexican food but their whole mindset is this: Most families are very poor and have lots of children. Even when they come to the US, aspirations are usually low and they tend to have a group mentality where education is frowned upon even laughed at. If you are ever at a store, watch what kind of beer they buy. It is almost always Budweiser. Why is that? Because that is what the group buys- somewhat proving my point. Mexico could be a great country but their mindset will not allow it.

Illegal immigration didnt start when Fox took office, so I doubt it'll stop now just because he's out. If the new President of Mexico was to somehow find a way to help ALL of his people and not just the rich, that would be great, however, I wouldnt expect it to happen anytime soon.

Until mexico starts giving welfare comparable to ours we are stuck with 20,000,000 illegal aliens stealing from the USA & middle-class Americans!

"the new president has commit ed to attend to the poverty problem in Mexico"

Which new president of Mexico, the elected one or the self appointed one?

The government of Mexico is in another mess and this I fear will lead to more illegal immigrants, there even be another revolution in this third world country as they are not used to the democratic process.

What can be done in Mexico even if there is a new president? Haven't they been saying that for a while and nothing ever gets done? The "Illegals" are going to remain in the US even if Mexico impoves their economy. They are going to want to remain close to family. As 100% Native Amercan, I would want you Illigals out of our country...

Poverty is not the root of Mexico's problems, corruption is. Until that is overthrown by a popular uprising, they Mexican nationals will continue to flood across the border. The best way to force the uprising is to deny them access. That is why the Mexican "government" is so opposed to enforcement of our borders.
