An Atlas is a book of maps and not extraordinarily heavy, even a kid can carry an Atlas along with his other books. Weight is the force generated by the gravitational attraction of the earth on any object, person etc. You have posted this in the Jokes & riddles section because it is a trick question.

hey let me tell you this atlas is not as heavy as you think.. its only less that 10 grams. Think over it you will know the answer.
Theoretically weight is a measure of the heaviness of an object.

First of all, weight depends on mass and/or volume plus the force of gravity.... So, if the atlas contains the world, the volume would be enormous... so it is heavy...
