The guy is emotionally immature and cannot find women his own age.
I'm sure the girl is flattered, but she needs to step back and really ponder this relationship.

Legal issues aside (I guess they aren't an issue where you are writing from, otherwise, you might have hinted at it), I can well imagine some more mature men being highly attractive to some young girls. After all, their maturity also has a lot of advantages. Maybe the girl feels that the man is able to show her things in life she really wants to experience. I have known girls like that, and there is nothing wrong wih them at all. At 17, people are very much adult. And as for the man, who knows, he may be drawn to her for more than the obvious reasons. It doesn't take a pervert to like a 17-year old girl. Apart from the fact that a lot of European models are barely 14, 17-year-olds these days are very assertive and grown-up, and he may not even realize she isn't older. I once accidentally had a blind date with a 13-year old, can you imagine the implications? She seemed like 25 to me, which is what I was. So, maybe find out what he knows first, maybe he thinks she's 30?

He is a pedophile! His maturity level is very questionable. What could a 36 yr old and a 17 yr old possibly have in common? Not even sex, could be a common ground. This man is more than likely looking for someone to control and the younger the better. I don't think state laws would protect this girl since she is over 16, but you could keep a close eye out for signs of abuse and be ready to help her out.

This man has something very wrong with him if he is searching for acceptance from a very young girl.

Well, if you look at it obviously it looks odd. The guy is like her father already. There are so many guys out there that you or she haven't met yet and she chooses a guy who is 36 years old. But if you want to make sure if you or she is doing the right thing you should ask God for signs. He is The Best.

Whatever floats your boat. It won't last so I see it as a fling for both parties involved.

It's too much. It's also against the law, if they're having a sexual relationship.

That guy is disgusting!!!
