Gabriel doesn't have a world view of his actions, he doesn't feel what he does really affects others.
Every time a line is crossed it becomes easier to cross the line. and if Gabriel thinks it is bad then he shouldn't be doing it. However, what's stopping Althea from picking it up? If she cares so much she should make some effort herself.

It's a hot summer day and everybody from your school (using as an example) is consuming a cup of shaved ice in the front yard of Gabriel's house. There is no trash bin. What do you do? Since Gabriel doesn't think that one cup littered is a problem, show him what one cup littered by 100 people looks like in his front yard.
Gabriel will have the opportunity to hopefully learn something about himself.

I think Gabriel is wrong, ignorant and stupid. He obviously does not know the saying that 'when a butterfly flaps its wings, it creates a storm somewhere a hundred miles away', which means that even the smallest, most seemingly insignificant action can and will have consequences. It is people like Gabriel who cause global warming and all those enviromental problems. There are so many people on this Earth, a few billion. Does that mean a few billion cups?
Like you said, its still littering. Hope this helps.

I would say, although littering is wrong, exactly how "bad" it is depends on the environment in which the litter was left. For instance if it was in a city where there are people who regularly clean up the streets anyway, then that is not so bad as leaving litter in a natural spot in the country. Somewhere where it will simply fester and even cause harm. That said, most modern cities have plenty of bins etc in which to put rubbish, so not attempting to find one and disposing of it properly is pure laziness.

I think what Gabriel did wasn't such a smart move to do. I mean it's not nice to just leave your trash on the ground. He's already grown up and he knows better than that. What he learned in school he should apply in the REAL world. Not just in answering textbooks just to get a high grade from your teacher. If he doesn't find one then carry it with you and when he does find one then he throw it. He should be a good example, he's big now. Don't you think? I hope somehow I was able to help you. ^__^

well,ye knew there many people supposes to have completely understood about the benefit of cleanliness as it would be a good sign of being faithfull to the Lord, and it would definitly or eventualy opens-up more opportunities for on the Jobs-training, and would gains more awareness of the World or the earth we lived in. But however, due to the discrepancies that were lingers, entwined or otherwise over-see, the measures and rules of cleaning-up mother natures residuals outcomed could've been carefuly re-design,or maybe even redesign for the benefit of humble men.You see there has been so many debates and even disputes or just feuds over these matters, you knew it would have becomed a REAL big headaxe for some, don;t worry too many, the mother Earth knews how to endevours them, though.
Instead let see how the HIV/AIDS and other battle arenas is goin-on, maybe we could learnt how to stop them and redone our homeworks onto them, you see. Thank you for your kind understanding, God Bless U, and God rest ye' merry, gents.

If there are a hundred people who thinks like Gabriel the place would already be full of litter.
It only takes one litter to start another!!!!

Your Right. Gabriel should have carried the cup to a proper trash containment unit.
