The newer ones are shielded well and you won't have any health problems from them. I recommend a Sharp brand oven. We have had good results and good value from ours.

Lucy, tell me one thing that isn't cancerous these days. Mobiles, TV remotes, remote control appliances, almost everything is hazadrous to health, so why only label Microwave? I have used it for almost 25 years without any problems. Just make sure that you place the microwave above your body level, this way you will escape the radiation.

i have used this type of oven for three years there is no problem and very fast ,but i heard it would be very dangerious for the prognants.
