My mom took me out of martail art because she said god told her to by doing martai arts i lost a lot of pounds and my mom and father are always complaning about my weight but that not the problem i loved martail arts and i loved doing it i no the bible said not to disobey god or him and my mom said she will put me in another martail arts thing but its been like 2 months and by the way i am 12 so what should i do

Your mother's problem is probably that she has heard that certain Christian clergy have denounced the study of martial arts as a pagan or heathenish practice. Some people actually think that it is demonic, which is absurd. If you could persuade your instructor to talk to your mother - your instructor or your minister, if you think he or she would be understanding - maybe that would work. Martial arts are great! I don't think God would mind you participating in Martial Arts. Your parents made that decision for whatever reason. Practice at home for now, keep telling them how much you want this and try to let the anger go. We parents do what we THINK is right for you kids, it doesn't always make it right. If you really love it God will eventually help you find a way.

Take up boxing dude its a western martial art and Olympic sport to boot cant see you folks objecting to that. Then when your old enough to disobey your folks retake up the martial art of your choice. Boxing will hone your reflex's just like karate in fact the fittest people on the planet are probably boxers.....before they step into a ring.
Never fight professionally and always use protective gear especially for your head. Good luck little dude!!

Find another martail arts group yourself, get all the details and present them to her. Explain to her that artial arts is not about violence or weight loss it's about control.
I think it's very good exercise and good for concentration too, FAR better than being a couch potato!

By obeying your mother you will also be honoring God. You do not know really why your mother decided to take you out of martial arts. If it is something that you really love, then you will find a way to do it. Just keep practicing at home until your mother decides to put you back.

this is hard for anyone to answer sweetie ... because we cant tell your mum and dad what to do ... and you are in their home and have to abide by their rules
no i dont feel they are right , but they have a right to do what they feel is best for you
maybe you can have an adult type conversation ... sit down and tell them how you feel , and ask them where in the bible it says this is wrong
dont get stroppy with them but do it in a grown up way so that they respect you and how you feel
apart from this sweetie , you may just have to wait a couple of years to continue your martial arts when you are old enough to make your own decisions

parents have our best interests at heart and sometimes they can be too over-protective but until the day comes when you are a parent you will not appreciate this so, be obedient to them as they love you and think that they are doing what is best for you.
let go of your anger as it will only lead to hurt,you can take up martial arts again when you are older and perhaps if you can show some patience your parents may change their minds.

start running around the block and remind your mom and dad that they said they would put you in a nother karate class. if they say no thats life they are the parents and what they say goes. just remember this when your older it will help you not want to go to church as much.
my mom took my toys away when i was younger and said god told her it was the devil. now i hate church because of it and my lifes great.
i think she was in a cult much like your mom
none the less mind your parents but judge god all you want just keep it inside until you are 18 then you can judge out loud if you do it now 1 of two things will happen.
your mom will kick you out onto the street or...
...she will sacrifice you to the gods and church

If you mom is hearing the voice of god, then she's a crazy *****. You some of the martial arts you've learned so far and slap some sense into her.
