Talk to her. She may be seeking some attention for some "underlying problems" that she has. 18 year olds are complex creatures, and after all, family must come first.

In that case where don't you kill two birds with one stone take her out and also go shopping for something that she likes. But before you go say to her I really need to catch up with my housework so when we come back I'm going to have to do some work, so you can either help me or buy a DVD that you can watch when we get back. Hopefully because you are doing something to relieve her boredom that will be okay

Although she's hardly a child, it's something to be thankful for that she's spending time with you. Compromise a little. If you don't want to go out with her, then at least take her to her favorite diner to get a bite to eat. She's telling you she wants to spend time with you, meaning she values you as an important person in her life. She's not "using you for entertainment" but rather wants to spend some time with someone she loves. Housework will be there tomorrow--a sister can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye.

If she is not satisfied with the food you have in, i would send her to get something herself, why should you go? as for the boredom, how about renting a dvd? to be honest at 18 she's old enough to entertain herself!!

in all honesty....she should get off her bum and go the shop herself..if she's hungry enough she will eat anything...tell her to stop being so picky and eat what you have, if not then get the shop and buy something....also if she's bored tell her to help you out with the housework unless she's gonna pay for drinks for you both

Forget the housework. Family comes first, people come first. There will always be housework but there won't always be time to be there for your sister when she needs you.
