I very rarely criticize anyone, except to say that I believe certain things are sinful. That's not criticism of a person, but an act.

It might be helpful to understand the meaning behind the word "criticize". In the original language of the New Testament to judge meant "harshly criticize" or "condemn". As related to that definition, no Christians are told by Christ not to do so. However, there are times when Christ does indeed tell us to judge; not to be negative, but to be alert, aware, or to discern something or someone.

Now do keep in mind that there are a lot of phony self-proclaimed christians in America and the world and many of them do tend to be abusive in their judgements. Also keep in mind that being a Christian involves a lifetime of allowing Christ to change and perfect a person, kind of like working out the many bugs of a computer program.

Now, that being said, there are also black and white, cut and dry beliefs that true Christians hold. One such belief is that the only way to eternal life in Heaven is through Jesus Christ and none other. So it might be that someone may not like hearing what the Christian believes and automatically consider it abusive or offensive because they disagree.

As for the rest of your question, I'm sorry but I don't follow what you're asking.

the Gospels are a challenge to us all, the words of Jesus provoke us to examine our lives in light of the truth, but I admit some people go overboard and can criticize instead of challenging others.

the Bible doesn't teach us to criticize. it teaches us to love with the love of Christ and lead people to follow him.
i'm sorry if you've heard criticisms. it's not supposed to be that way!
