This Bible quote says,"all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purposes."
It has worked many times in my life. Best example I can think of is this: In my past I did many things that the Bible calls sin. These things caused harm to myself and others. Now they are good because they have become part of my testimony. I can use them in sharing my story with others who are going down the same path I was and help them to find the way out as I did. The Bible also says: "we are saved by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony." Example: Jesus blood payed the price for my sins. I can tell others what I was like. What happened. And what I am like now.

Yes! Of course! I believe that all bad things work for the good!
This story is the example-
Birbal and his king was sitting in the garden. The king was cutting an apple. Suddenly he cut his finger. Birbal said, "Whatever happens, happens for good." The king was so angry that he suspended Birbal.
The nexy day, the king and his men were riding through a desert. A sandstorm passed by, and no-one could see each other. Some tribal people found the king and decided to eat him. While their ritual (in the story there's a ritual in the evening), they saw the mark on the king's finger. So they couldn't eat the king.
Next day, The king called Birbal and narrated the whole story to him. And he also rewarded him for the great quote, "Whatever happens, happens for good."
I have some real-life experiences too... which I cannot remember at the moment.

yes it does say that but also it says for those who are in Christ Jesus. I can give you an example . My husband was 100% disabled from Vietnam. He died very young. Than my son went to war in Iraq and came back disabled. I didn't know why these bad things were happening at the time. Now I work with soldiers that are disabled from war and their families struggling to understand and not knowing where to go or what to do. I'd like to think that what I went through has helped to benefit at least one family that is suffering.

The bible says "All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose".
So, it is ALL things not only bad things and it is not for everyone, just those who love God etc.
Do I believe it? ABSOLUTELY!
Amy Charmicle, in the 1800's, thought it was a 'bad thing' to have brown eyes and envied those with eyes of other colours. She was in India and saw young girls being taken into slavery in temples. She desguised her self as an Indian woman (impossible for anyone who didn't have brown eyes) went into these temples and rescued many of these girls, one at a time.
"Not such a 'bad thing'" you say. Could list others but I have to work tomorrow and it is getting late.

I believe that if you don't paraphrase Romans 8:28 All things work for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose...
Yes AMEN I believe that, My God loves me and causes what is supposed to be for my detriment to GOOD...
I have plenty of examples of this not many that I want to share in a public arena as it would more than likely be misconstrued.

No I don`t think that this is the case, some of the worst crimes of man have not in fact yielded any good whatsoever, I would venture to say that world wars do no good, but I do believe that God can and does turn the tide of evil and the suffering to our good, but seldom does man achieve this.

All negative has an element of positive. If something bad happens in time there will be good seen in it. Whether it was in the form of learning, forgiving, loving...if you look for it it is there.

Somewhat. Without bad, we would not recognize good, and we certainly would not appreciate it. Without the outcome of the Civil War, we would be left with a country that no one could be proud of.

That is a very constructive way to handle a tragedy, I think. Turn something bad into something good- nice attitude!
